LD Holiday Gift Guide 2021

With Thanksgiving just a few days away, holiday season 2021 is in full-effect! There's been a lot of talk about shipping taking longer than usual and a shortage of goods, and while this could be viewed as a bummer it's also a nice reminder that the holidays aren't about the "things", the holidays are about meaningful time and presence (not presents) with the ones you love. After all, your time is one of the most generous gifts you can give.

If you are looking to give gifts this holiday season, I personally like to start with supporting small-businesses, local mom-and-pop shops, and sustainable companies who have a solid mission/products. I try to remember to only buy what I need and what I know someone will use- if I am unsure if someone will use something I typically opt for a gift card instead as it's more practical and won't go to waste (and I think gift cards are perfectly fine in some situations!). Another great way to support small businesses is through Etsy-- I love Etsy for many things, but this time of year especially for stockings, ornaments, handmade gifts, etc.
