NAVY IS THE NEW NEUTRAL
I just want to set the record straight- I am most definitely a lover of the color black. I would say a good half of my wardrobe is made up of the color and I don't foresee any indication that this will be changing anytime soon.
However, there is some competition in my books for another bold, contrasting, neutral, and his name is navy. Navy just oozes elegance, while simultaneously being masculine and feminine somehow. Depending on what you pair navy with, it can totally change the style of the color.
My personal favorite pairing is navy and gold. There is something about this combination that is so sophisticated, but not standoffish to the point where you're like "Oh no that's not for me. That's too much for my home."
I am a strong believer in having your home being a warm, cozy environment. Navy is a great color to incorporate to achieve this look. Throw in some color, or leave it neutral. Either way you can't go wrong!
